About the job
We are Fool’s Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game “Seven: The Days Long Gone”. Now that The Witcher Remake is in development, we are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team for this project, developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED studio. At this point, the game is in its initial phases, and we have seasoned developers who have contributed to past Witcher titles on board. Sounds interesting? Get in touch with us!
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the Cinematics team, mentoring and feedbacking,
- Working with the production team to schedule the workload of all cinematic designers,
- Working closely with the Art Director to drive cinematics in collaboration with other disciplines,
- Ensuring consistency of quality and presentation across all in-game cinematics and scripted events,
- Designing and creating the cinematic portion of the game - interactive and non-interactive scenes,
- Directing motion capture sessions,
- Keeping track of task backlog,
- Identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in the gaming industry,
- Previous experience as a Lead Cinematic Designer,
- Experience with the Unreal Engine 4 or 5,
- Outstanding modern and classical cinematic fundamentals with an application towards establishing mood, tone, and emotion,
- Excellent understanding of cinematic storytelling, composition and pacing,
- Well versed in a variety of cinematic presentation styles and up to date with the latest cinematic techniques and innovations,
- Understanding of modern trends within the entertainment industry with an ability to successfully apply to cinematic style as needed,
- Deep understanding of the game development process and its limitations.
- An understanding of animation theory and technique,
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to visualize creative ideas and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment giving and taking direction, critiques, and constructive feedback,
- Experience with the motion capture process,
- A strong showreel showing recent work,
- Fluent English.
